Sarah's practice is filled with her passion for the Ashtanga Vinyasa system, as well as her love for dance, acrobatics, and circus arts. Sarah's yoga studies began in Vermont, where she learned the Ashtanga Primary series from her beloved teacher, Lisa Mendelsund. In Vermont, she primarily practiced with her tiny Ashtanga sangha of amazing women or on her own, which enabled her to develop a strong self practice for which she is extremely grateful.

Following Lisa's advice, in 2008, she traveled to Mysore, India to deepen her studies with the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson, Sharath Rangaswami. She has also had the joy of studying with Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldmann. Additionally, in 2012 she completed a 200 hour teacher's intensive with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, and continues to study with them whenever possible.

After living in NYC for a couple of years and assisting Zoe Slatoff and Ben Ponte at Ashtanga Yoga Upper West Side, Sarah headed down south to New Orleans where she currently resides. You can find her teaching at The Yoga Room as well as leading retreats with the The Sailing Collective and Sailing Yoga.
